A cruise on the Oder River commemorating the 73rd anniversary of proclamation of the State of Israel

The TSKZ objectives include supporting of the Jewish community, promoting knowledge of the Yiddish language, fostering cultural awareness, and sharing knowledge about the culture, fine art and national heritage of the Polish Jews. For over 70 years we have been implementing various cultural and educational projects in aim to preserve national traditions of the Jewish community in Poland and emphasise the great role that the Polish Jews played in the historical shaping of the Polish society, political thought and culture.

On 17 June, TSKZ branch in Wrocław organised a cruise on the Oder River combined with a picnic.

The event was supposed to commemorate the 73^rd anniversary of proclamation of the State of Israel which falls on 14 May. One hundred guests attending the event included members of the TSKZ local branches in Wrocław, Dzierżoniów, Legnica, Wałbrzych and Żary. The trip participants were entertained by Klezmerado, a music band famous for its traditional Jewish repertoire.
