Ewa Prończuk and Artur Hofman received the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture

On Wednesday, 10 December, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration hosted the 90th jubilee session of the Joint Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Commission’s operations as an advisory body to the Polish Prime Minister.

During the event, the Minister of Culture Marta Cienkowska awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture to  the TSKŻ Chairman Artur Hofman and the TSKŻ Board Secretary, Ewa Prończuk. Tomasz Szymański, Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, expressed his official gratitude to all those who particularly contributed to the development and support of national minorities, including such persons as Artur Hofman, who was appreciated for his long-standing involvement in the Joint Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities, and Ewa Prończuk, who was recognised for her long-term support of national and ethnic minorities and speakers of regional languages.

The event was accompanied by a debate entitled: The 20th Anniversary of the Joint Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities – Hopes, Practices, Perspectives, which was attended by many outstanding researchers specialising in minority issues.
