by tskzThis year’s Hanukkah festivities are already upon us! The Festival of Lights will kick off on Thursday 7 December and run until Friday 15 December. To celebrate this festive week, we have planned some special events for you.
ŁÓDŹ/PABIANICE:
TSKŻ Łódź would like to invite you all to a special Hannukah concert, which will take place on 7 December at 5.30 pm at the Teachers’ House in Pabianice, at ul. Kilińskiego 8. Famous artists, much loved by members of our Association, such as Henryk Rajfer, actor of the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, and Juliusz Ursyn Niemcewicz, tenor singer of the Silesian Opera, will perform on stage.
BIELSKO-BIAŁA:
From 7 to 11 December, the Wiktoria Kubisz Cultural Centre in Bielsko-Biała will be organising the celebration of the Feast of Three Cultures, an event which aims to popularise the multicultural and multi-religious history of the city of Bielsko-Biała. The event’s programme will include classes in the basics of the Hebrew language, Jewish cuisine workshops and a klezmer music concert. The event is going to be co-hosted by TSKŻ Branch in Bielsko-Biała.
WARSAW:
On 9 December at 6:00 pm, Warsaw-based members of our Association are cordially welcomed to take part in a special Hanukkah dinner. The feast will be enhanced by a performance by Sława Przybylska. The artist will be accompanied by Janusz Tylman.
SZCZECIN:
On 9 December at 3:00 p.m., TSKŻ Branch Club in Szczecin is going to host a Hanukkah meeting. An extraordinary festive atmosphere will be created for guests by the music band, Srebrzyści Akordeoniści. Refreshments and small gifts will also be available for the incoming guests.
CZĘSTOCHOWA:
We are pleased to invite you to a concert of Hanukkah songs “Lich’ vod Hanukkah”, which will be held on 11 December at 5 p.m. at ul. Katedralna 8 Apt. s 3 in Częstochowa. The music for the event will be prepared by Jarosław Idkowski, while Aleksandra Idkowska will sing on stage. There will also be a candle-lighting ceremony and traditional refreshments.
WROCŁAW:
On 16 December at 4:00 p.m., TSKŻ Branch in Wrocław will be happy to invite you all o an evening full of fun, games and joyous singing. Our special guests i.e. Inga Dinesen, Leopold Galicki, Ryszard Jahn and Tomasz Kwietko-Bębnowski will talk about Hanukkah customs.
LEGNICA:
TSKŻ Legnica would like to invite everyone to a festive Hanukah concert and traditional refreshments on 10 December, 3 p.m. The event will take place at the domicile of the Jewish Religious Community in Legnica, at ul. Chojnowska 12/1. The inseparable musical duo who often enhance the atmosphere of our Jewish celebrations i.e. Henryk Rajfer and Juliusz Ursyn Niemcewicz, will perform on stage.
WAŁBRZYCH:
On December 8, at 5 p.m., a Hanukkah dinner will be held at the “Żak” Club at the Walbrzych University of Technology (ul. Armii Krajowej 78). The feast will be accompanied by a musical performance by Juliusz Ursyn Niemcewicz, singer at the Silesian Opera House, and Henryk Rajfer, actor at the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw.
CRACOW:
TSKŻ Cracow would cordially like to invite its members and friends to a candle-making workshop, organised together with Vintage Candle, on 10 December 2023 at 4:00 p.m. After the workshop, a festive snack will be provided for the participants.
